Dixie Dix & The Rebel Pixies are a Bournemouth based Punk Rock band made up of a Punk Rocker Lead Singer, Indie Guitarist, Metal Drummer and Metal Bassist, the result - Punk rock like you’ve never heard it before.
With a mix of experienced metal musicians, catchy hooks, and Dixies musical theatre roots, Dixie Dix and the Rebel Pixies sets are interspersed with comedic and punk rap like songs, poking fun at aristocracy and shining light on the issues of today. Dixie Dix and the Rebel Pixies with make you laugh, cry and sing!
Fans of ‘Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls’, ‘Queen’, and ‘Against me’ will love this upbeat band with emotional and thought-provoking lyrics.
First performing in 2025, Dixie formed the Rebel Pixies after establishing themselves as a successful solo musician on both the local and national scene. After their UK tour supporting ‘The Gypsy Pistoleros’ Dixie decided it was time to take things to the next level and so the band was formed.
Dixie Dix & The Rebel Pixies released their debut single “Smoking Kills” in July 2025 to great response being played repeatedly on radio stations such as Voodoo Radio. Their next two releases “Coffee” and “21st Fucked up century teen”, released in the beginning of 2026, had a similar welcome response, followed by their debut 6 track EP, “The Nightmare of The Lonely Bard”, in April 2026. The EP was reviewed by Devolution Magazine, Metal Planet, Rock Regeneration and more.
The band kicked off 2026 with a bang with their first two shows of the year being sold out. The band are looking forward to playing more gigs and festivals in 2026 and are working towards recording and releasing another EP next year with a single and music video coming later in 2026.
