Hello!

Hello, thanks for checking out my website, In case you curious and want to know a bit more where my music and I come from, keep reading and I’ll try not to ramble too much.

My Story

Pretty.jpg

I’m a singer/songwriter from Dorset (Southwest of England). I’m in my 20’s and I have two cats. I can’t really put myself in a genre, I normally just say “alternative acoustic” because I dress alternative, and I don’t really fit in anywhere (which seems to be a theme in my life).

I grew up in the countryside so books and music were most of my early childhood. Between the ages of 5 and 7 I started singing, performing in choirs and school plays, and learning to play piano. At the age of 8 performing arts, musical theatre and the stage became my main love and focus for the next decade. I spent many of my spare hours in dance studios and rehearsal halls, practicing to be in musicals at the Lighthouse Theatre in Poole, or later on singing Elgar’s, The Dream of Gerontius in Winchester cathedral.

Music consumed my every waking moment and still does till this day. Despite having a fantastic teacher in middle school, my younger self failed to learn guitar when I was given the opportunity, instead I picked up the ukulele at 13, and even made it through to the semi-finals of the national songwriting competition with my song Firefly (I had been writing songs since I was 10), however hope was not lost for the guitar.

As a Gen Z teenager in the 2010s I was obsessed with talent shows and people who wrote their own music. One day, age 16, I was watching talent show clips of songwriters, spotted my old guitar in the corner of my room and the frustration won over. Picking it up and using the joys of the modern internet, I used that brilliant lesson from middle school to learn how to play the four chords from the Axis of Awesome song. And we went from there… I was now portable !!! My newfound love for guitar took me to the streets and I spent the next few years busking during my school holidays and attempting to wrap my head around the frets and strings of my new friend. Skipping forward a few years I moved to Bournemouth and started gigging on the local scene.

Building my confidence, I got to play brilliant venues like Anvil rock bar, The four Horsemen, Chaplins and many more. Now I’ve reached a point where I’ve played my first national tour supporting the legendary Gypsy Pistoleros and can’t wait to share my music as far and wide as I can.

Now for a bit about my music, I have an extensive song book of over 50 songs, but there are probably about 30 that I play in regular rotation at gigs. I have one song released called “Messed Up Century” but have much more coming this year (2025) including the very fast approaching release of my single “Smoking Kills”.

I like to tell stories through my music, mainly about my life but I’ll leave that up to your interpretation. There are obvious themes about mental health, addiction/sobriety and gender identity ( I identify as non-binary), but I hope everyone that listens can find something that helps them or that they can relate to.

Music is my therapy, and I hope to do more than just entertain people when I play.

A little bit more about me is that I’m also a promoter! I founded the promotion company Originality Live in 2022 and since then we have expanded to monthly events at over 3 venues. Originality Live focuses on showcasing musicians, like me, who write and perform their own music. Whether its various genres of metal bands playing at our mixed metal nights, or our amazing singer/songwriters playing the acoustic showcases,

Originality Live is all about inclusivity and showing your creative side. We even won a special recognition award for our work with the live music scene in January 2025 (Thom Belk Award – The Original Music Awards) Any musicians who may be interested in getting involved follow the links on this page to get in touch
